Nazgul the guild was founded in November 2001, just prior to the end of the Dark Age of Camelot beta, on the Excalibur server, Midgard realm. We enjoyed a good reputation on the server as a friendly, reliable guild, and still have a good number of players there today, although now on the Glastonbury server.

Many of us moved across to World of Warcraft when it was released, having already agreed which servers to use – one Horde, one Alliance.

The Horde guild was established by Sweet shortly afterwards, with all of the guild getting together and choosing the now infamous ‘ribcage’ tabard design.

We have stayed true to the original ethos of the Camelot guild. Nazgul is not about power-gaming, elitism, or any desperate striving to be ‘the best’. Nazgul is about having fun with a good reliable group of friends. In achieving that, many of our members think that we effortlessly become ‘the best’, and many have known each other for years now, with friendships that have started online becoming ‘irl’ friendships.
